What this scheme funds
EXEED Certified supports organisations that commit to applying the Irish Standard 399 (I.S. 399) Energy Efficient Design methodology to a capital project - typically a building retrofit, a new facility, a process redesign or a major equipment replacement. Grants are calculated as a percentage of eligible energy-related capital expenditure, capped at EUR1m per project (with stricter caps for state-aid de minimis cases). Funded activities include the EED study and certification process, monitoring instrumentation, and the incremental capital cost of going beyond business-as-usual energy performance. Software used to model, monitor or report on energy use can qualify where it forms part of the EED project scope. The scheme is run by SEAI and the application route is via a registered EXEED practitioner.
