- A Designated Entity refers to a credit institution which meets the conditions set out in Section 10 of the Finance (Provision of Access to Cash Infrastructure) Act 2025 and has been notified of such by the Central Bank.
- Registered as an insurance, reinsurance or ancillary insurance intermediary under the European Union (Insurance Distribution) Regulations, 2018.
- A service provider to a fund, which can be either an administrator, trustee or management company, is authorised under the Investment Intermediaries Act, 1995 (as amended) and/or approved under the relevant collective investment scheme legislation, as appropriate.
